There are three types of aggravated DUI, each involving committing a normal misdemeanor DUI with the addition of two or more prior convictions in the past five years; driving on a suspended, cancelled, revoked or refused driver's license; or carrying a passenger under age 15. First time offenders with no other felony convictions may face prison, but probably will receive probation, and perhaps a limited prison sentence with no work release. The maximum fine allowable is $150,000. Your license will be revoked for a minimum of three years. You may lose your vehicle. Additional penalties may be imposed.
