Question:

I came home from a local video store and then the cops showed up at my house wanting to arrest me for a DUI. I guess I appeared drunk at the video store I was at before and they reported me which I am pretty pissed about as I don't remember doing anything obnoxious. What can I be charged with? Can I defend anything?

Answer: (1)

Hopefully you did not incriminate yourself as the cops showed up and admitted to anything they were accusing you of. In a situation like this, it would be very important to hire a DUI Attorney as they can more than likely get this case dropped quickly. Without actually catching you at the scene or in the act, many state laws and statutes would probably not allow this charge to proceed to a prosecution. However, some states are quite strict and a prosecution is possible.
