Under Ohio DUI laws, your license may be suspended in two separate ways:
If you have your license suspended by the DMV as an administrative action, you may request a hearing after a 15 day period where you try to convince the DMV to reinstate your drivers license before the term of the suspension would normally be up. You may request that you get your license back on a temporary basis or that the entire suspension be overturned. However, even if you are successful at getting the DMV to give you back your license, the court can take it away again as part of your DUI sentence.
To understand how to get your license back, and to increase your chances of success at getting it back after a DUI arrest, it is a good idea to consult with an experienced Ohio DUI attorney for advice and assistance.
