Rates of alcohol use by teens have declined considerably since the high levels of student alcohol use in 1979, and have stayed pretty level in the past several years.2 Even with this leveling off, current alcohol use is too high.
The big message that Partners wants to impart is that PREVENTION WORKS! So it is important that communities and organizations look for and implement approaches that work.
