Paris Hilton May Be Going Back To Jail

On September 7, 2006, Paris Hilton was pulled over in Hollywood around 12:30am for "driving erratically".

According to the LAPD spokesperson, she showed signs of intoxication and, when tested, she failed a field sobriety test.

To make her situation worse, she was driving on a suspended license.

After her trial, she was sentenced to 45 days in jail, but with the agreement that she would be released after 23 days if she showed good behavior.

She was released from jail, after just 4 days, for medical reasons.  Sources say that she would not eat the food served to her and medical experts were worried about her health.

They decided to put her on house arrest for her 45 day sentence.

Moving Hilton to her four bedroom, three bathroom home started a frenzy with the prosecuters and Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer, who spelled out during sentencing that Hilton was not alled to serve house detention.

She will be arriving back in court today, June 8, 2007, at 9:00 am Pacific time for another trial.  She may end up back behind bars.

Drunk driving is a crime. More importantly, it is not a victimless crime. Nearly 17,000 Americans are killed and more than 700,000 are injured each year in alcohol related traffic crashes.
