Boxer Killed After Crashing His Motorcycle
On May 7, 2007 boxer Diego "Chico" Corrales was killed after he crashed his motorcycle when he was driving drunk. Tests show that his blood alcohol content was 3 times the legal limit.
The legal BAC limit in Las Vegas, Nevada is .08%. Corrales had a BAC level of .25%. The Las Vegas Police Department say that the accident was preventable, and if he were not drunk, Corrales would not have crashed. He crashed his 2007 Suzuki while trying to pass another vehicle on a busy residential road located about 7 miles from the Las Vegas Strip.
Corrales has been stoped on other occasions for drunk driving and riding without a valid license.
