Living With a DUI

If you have been convicted of a DUI, you know what a devastating effect it can have on your life.  The court dates, fines, legal fees, DUI school, suspended licensed, and increased insurance costs all add up.  Even finding a job after a DUI can be a challenge -- particularly if potential employers check your driving record. 

You can take actions that will ease the burden, however.  There are some obvious things you can do: Don't get another DUI, show up at your court dates, and pay your fines. And there are less obvious things as well: You can try to get the DUI off of your record, you can get a special insurance rider that will allow you to drive, and you can get a  drug and alcohol evaluation that may help you get treatment.
